We are delighted to share some fantastic news that reflects the continued excellence of our school community.
St Anne’s Catholic School has been ranked the top secondary school within a five-mile radius of Southampton city centre, according to a new ranking published by The Telegraph.
The Telegraph recently released its list of the Top 100 State Secondary Schools in the UK, based on a unique 40-point scoring system that considers academic outcomes and overall school performance. St Anne’s received the highest score among all local schools, placing us as the top-ranked school in the area.
This recognition serves as a timely reminder of the strong academic foundation and high-quality education that our students benefit from every day.
At Sixth Form level, we are particularly proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate ambition, resilience, and purpose—fully embodying the values at the heart of our Catholic mission.
Mr Julian Waterfield, Headteacher, said:
"At St Anne’s Catholic School, we are proud to be a community rooted in faith, service, and learning. The successes we celebrate — whether academic, personal, or spiritual — are grounded in the Gospel values and virtues that guide everything we do.
I am deeply grateful for the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the vibrant faith life that sustains our school. Together, we are forming young people who are not only well-prepared for their future, but ready to make a positive, lasting contribution to society.”
